Moon"
Kahele of Pure Hawaiian ancestry was born in Hawaii the second youngest
of nine children from the late John & Lucille Kahele. At an early
age, family were strong influences exposing him to various
instruments, singing in Choirs or having fun "jamming" at family
luaus. His Dad had a large music collection of island and
mainland artists that fueled his desires even more. As a child, Slack Key
guitar was introduced to Moon by Uncle "Charley" Mr. Jonah Kipi.
Today, Moon performs at
the Hawaiian Slack Key
Festivals held in Hawaii. The Ukulele, introduced by his Mom
at an early age,
was reinforced with lessons by Herb Ohta San.
During
a successful Law Enforcement career, Moon's travels exposed him to
music from Country, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Pop Rock and Latino genres
that is included in his shows. He performs at Corporate
Events, Weddings, Anniversaries, Music Concerts/Festivals or Private
luau's from the Florida coastline to the sandy shores of
Hawaii. Moon is also recognized as a talented
songwriter-composer who now resides on Oahu with his family.
